DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF BUDDY YOUNG

The New England Golf Tour is dedicated to the memory of Buddy Young, former Tournament Director of the N.E.P.G.A., South African PGA Tour, Boston Bruins Tucker Anthony Classic and the North Atlantic tour. The tour is carried on by Buddy's son, Christopher, Golf Teaching Professional, Georgetown High School Varsity Golf Coach,  and founder of The Honda North Junior Golf Tour.

The NEGT is a Professional and Amateur Mini Tour which was established in 2006 to provide venues for aspiring golfers seeking tournament experience with competitive cash and prize rewards. The foremost objective of its committee will always be to present the competitors with an operation that consistently reflects an appreciation of The Game of Golf by conducting itself in accordance with the rules as laid down by The Game's governing bodies and ensuring that its integrity and traditions are preserved. Every effort will be made at each event to guarantee that the competition is fairly conducted so that a deserving champion is identified.

NEGT events have a Professional and Amateur division that is open to the first 30 Professionals and Amateurs that register and play in groups of 3 to compete for $1,000 1st Place for 18 hole events, and $2,500 1st Place for our Tour Championship at Bradford Country Club, 36 holes, no cut.  90% payback on entry fee after course costs, with 30% of field getting paid, and last place money equal to entry fee.  Entry fee for Tour Members is $180 per regular events and $225 for "Majors".  Non-Member entry fee is$220 for regular events and $275 or "Majors".  Tour Members are eligible for "The Buddy Young Cup", a season long money leaders bonus cash purse.  Each event has a $25 cash skins pool for players to enter.  There is also a Net Handicap Amateur division, no handicap limit, that is open to the first 24 amateurs that register (spots may be filled by sponsors).  Net Amateurs compete in a $25 cash Net pool, using 100% handicap, and a $25 cash Gross skins pool.
