About The New England Golf Tour

  • The New England Golf Tour is dedicated to the memory of Buddy Young.
  • The New England Golf Tour was founded in 2006, and began operating tour events in 2007.
  • The New England Golf Tour is open to all golfers, Women and Men, Professionals and Amateurs, all playing levels.
  • Professional Staff and Advisory Board with decades of experience and service in tournament golf.
  • There will be 12 one day events (18-hole stroke play-gross and net) in 2012
    (Pro-Am Championship sponsored by Polar Beverages).
  • Tour schedule begins in June and runs to September.
  • Entry fee includes the following:
  • - reduced rate practice round prior to most events
    - course costs
    - cart
    - purses and prizes
    - range balls on the morning prior to starting time
  • There individual Professional cash purses, and gross and net prize purses for Amateurs
  • There is NO HANDICAP limit for Amateurs.
  • There are optional skin pools to enter.
  • Tournament results sent to over 100 newspapers and magazines in the Northeast.
  • "The Polar Cup", a season long points system sponsored by Polar Beverages. (Buddy Young Award)


Tour Credo

The New England Golf Tour is a professional and amateur mini-tour which was established in 2006 to provide venues for aspiring golfers seeking tournament experience with competitive cash and prize rewards. The foremost objective of its committee will always be to present the competitors with an operation that consistently reflects an appreciation of The Game of Golf by conducting itself in accordance with The Rules as laid down by The Game's governing bodies and ensuring that its integrity and traditions are preserved.

Every effort will be made at each event to guarantee that the competition is fairly conducted so that a deserving champion is identified.
